Niacinamide is the rare ingredient that lives up to its hype — if you know what to expect.
What it actually does
Niacinamide (vitamin B3) has been studied for over thirty years. The peer-reviewed evidence is consistent: it strengthens the skin barrier, reduces visible pore size, evens skin tone, controls oil production, and protects against environmental stressors. At 5–10% concentration, results show up within 4–8 weeks of daily use.
What it doesn't do
It's not retinol. It won't reverse deep wrinkles overnight. It's not a brightener in the "instant glow" sense — the brightness is real but cumulative. And no, you don't need 20% — studies suggest diminishing returns above 10%, and concentrations that high can actually irritate the skin.
How we formulated ours
Our Glow Serum uses 10% niacinamide + 1% zinc PCA (the combination most cited in derm literature for oil control). We added hyaluronic acid and panthenol so the formula hydrates as it works, not strips. Fragrance-free. pH-balanced. 30ml of glass dropper.
How to use
Three drops on damp skin, morning or night. Follow with moisturizer and SPF in the morning. Use daily for at least a month before judging.
